Owner and lead instructor Glenn Mikos, began his scuba diving adventure in 1998 when he earned his Open Water Diving Certification. Throughout the years, he was fortunate enough to be able to travel and dive at many of the popular and off the path diving destinations. During this time Glenn had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most renowned instructors and diving professionals in the diving industry while earning his certifications as a Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, Master Scuba Diver, and Divermaster. He also earned multiple Specialty Diver Certifications along the way.
Since Glenn is a Career Firefighter/ Paramedic he decided to use his diving experience he gained from recreational scuba diving and moved into the public safety diving realm. Here he would gain certifications, knowledge, and experience as a Public Safety Diver Tender, Public Safety Diver, Black Water Diver, Full Face Mask Diver, Dry Suit Diver, Public Safety Dive Team Management and Operations.
While he continued to dive for recreation and on multiple search and recovery dive teams Glenn decided that he wanted to become a scuba diving instructor so he could share his passion of scuba diving with others so he worked on earning his certification as a Open Water Scuba Instructor. After earning his OWSI certification Glenn opened Into The Blue Scuba where he teaches a wide range of PADI diving courses from beginning scuba diver through advanced, technical, and professional levels. Since opening Into The Blue Scuba Glenn has also continued to expand his diving education and knowledge and has gone on to earn additional certifications as a Specialty Instructor, Public Safety Diving Instructor, Master Scuba Diver Trainer, and IDC Staff Instructor.
Because of the knowledge and experience that Glenn has in scuba diving and water rescue he gets to venture into the land of make believe and works with Hollywood as a rescue diver/ water rescue specialist for many of the movie and TV shows that are filmed in Georgia and surrounding states.
