American Red Cross Lifeguard Course
The lifeguard training program will prepare participants with the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The content and skills presented in this course will prepare participants on how to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to prevent injuries and drownings.
What you will learn:
* Identifying different types of swimmers
* Designing an emergency action plan
* Responding to emergencies
* Equipment based rescues
* Professional behavior
* Basic first aid
* Responding to respiratory and cardiac emergencies
* Handling head, neck, and back injuries
Prerequisites:
* 15 years of age
* Swimming evaluation
